THE STORY
Creative Origins
Jim Gleeson attended Auburn University's College of Architecture for two years prior to transferring to the University of Florida, where he graduated, cum Laude. He has been a registered architect in both Florida and North Carolina. Mr. Gleeson has designed University housing, Multi-family projects as well as commercial projects for firms in Charlotte and Atlanta. He founded the Sustainability Initiative at LITTLE, he largest Architecture and engineering firm in the Carolinas. He began his own Residential Design firm in Charlotte in 2004 as a leader in Sustainable or Green residential design and has won awards for large and small green residential projects. His is the only Design firm in the Charlotte area with a focus on BOTH quality Design AND passive solar, energy-efficient, healthy custom homes. Green technologies are integrated into the design process, transparently. Green Building certification is available but not required. Energy efficiency is not a style--it can be incorporated into any quality design-- Jim Gleeson sees to it!
FIRST GREEN HOME IN RIVER CHASE

Rolando and Suzetta Calzada have purchased a site in the new River Chase Estates near Lancaster, South Carolina and Hired Jim Gleeson to Design their custom home. The Site is heavily wooded with both pine trees and deciduous trees. Six pines in the building footprint will be harvested and debarked and will become the custom home's impressive columns, greeting visitors as they wind through the woods approaching the entrance.
